I came to painting relatively late – after moving to Italy from London where I trained as a classical musician and then taught contemporary musicology and composition. Before picking up a paint brush I had only received the rudiments of art at school, yet painting seemed to come to me freely and I quickly found a new form of expression. I now live in Sardinia, one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean. Its landscape, people and their fascinating culture inspire me in my painting.
